I have two questions. 1- I have a lot of pain in my upper right central incisor..I can't bite if I put my finger under it and press a little it is painfu, if I touch the surface it is also painful, from the internal side it is not and from the jaw or gum part it is very normal..do I need root canal? how do I know it's not a fraction because I recently hit a wall and that's when the pain started..
2- the second question is wierd, I am 30 yrs female and just realized that I still don't have upper or lower wisdom teeth, they never grew there and the ones on the left side they are there, they look little flat and I don't remember feeling them grow..but for sure tow yrs ago I didn't have them..is this normal? do I have hormoneal problems or what?
Thanks

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Dear patient,1-Your description is highly suggestive of a root canal issue or a possible fracture. An x-ray of the tooth could confirm or rule out the possibility of root fracture, and some other tests would evaluate the condition of the nerve to determine the need for a root canal. I would worry about the possibility of infection as sometimes pain on pressure is an indication of infection in that case antibiotics -in conjunction with root canal treatment- would be indicated.2-As far as the wisdom teeth, it is not unusual to have wisdom teeth on one side to be fully grown inside the mouth and the other side to remain "impacted'''' or in some cases -if you are lucky- congenitaly missing. A panoramic x-ray will show the presence -or absence- of wisdomn teeth and evaluate the need and the risks of extraction.Hope this is helpful...I suggest that you have that front tooth evaluated soon, sincerely,Eyad Haidar DMD, CAGS in Prosthodontics
