    Patient Review 1:

At 15 years old, I suffered a traumatic injury that resulted in the loss of two of my front teeth. Now at age 45, needless to say, I have spent many hours of chair time with a variety of dental care professionals for my unique bridge and dental care needs. Dr. Pelletier is by far the best dental care professional I have ever encountered. I came to Dr. Pelletier after it was discovered that the bridgework of my former dentist resulted in a necrotic tooth. (Basically, the anchor tooth holding my bridge began to rot.) I was lucky enough to see Dr. Pelletier who took the time to explain the best possible approach to save my smile. Instead of just extracting the necrotic tooth and slapping on a bridge, which was suggested by another dentist, Dr. Pelletier first tried to save my decayed anchor tooth. Unfortunately, the tooth was too far-gone. He kindly and honestly opined that I should consider an implant to replace the tooth since the integrity and span of a bridge without an implant might not be viable. Dr. Pelletiers clinical and cosmetic work and expertise on my implant and bridge was top notch. My grill as well as my confidence in a dental care provider has been restored. My wife, after seeing the superb care I that I have received, has now chosen Dr. Pelletier for her dental needs. We both highly recommend Dr. Pelletier for anyone in need of cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Dr. Pelletier is an amazing prosthodontist that I have been seeing for close to a decade. His work has always been impeccably executed and detailed. He takes the time to explain procedures and makes appropriate recommendations. Cost estimates were always precise and he continues to use the latest techniques available. He delivers with perfectionism and an affable manner that is hard to find. I would recommend him without any hesitation. In fact, I have recommended him to several of my closest friends and colleagues over the years (who've stayed with him, as well). I feel extremely lucky to have had Dr. Pelletier recommended to me all those years ago.

    Patient Review 3:

It was only August 10, 2008, when, having spent a couple of hours at www.doctoroogle.com and also at Dr. Pelletier's web sites, I decided that I had finally, I found my dentist.

Then, I had read many highly impressive accolades to Dr. Pelletier's ability to listen, his attention to patients, and his skills. I had also seen his supplementary web site with beautiful examples of his work. I had also read his CV, describing highly impressive training, qualifications and experience both in France and in the USA. And now I know that it all is true and that Dr. Pelletier is all that his other patients said he had been and had done. And it now seems that I have known Dr. Pelletier for a very long time.

It is nice to feel so comfortable in a dental chair and to know that you will always receive the best of possible treatments. So, now I have come back to www.doctoroogle.com, to thank those patients of Dr. Pelletier who had written their recommendations before August 10, 2008; to thank Dr. Pelletier for doing such a wonderful job for me, and to take great pleasure in recommending Dr. Pelletier as, no doubt, one of the very top prosthodontists in the USA, a wonderfully caring doctor, a true artist and esthete, when it comes to the looks of his productions, and a very thorough dentist, a true perfectionist, who would spare no time and no effort to reach the desired results.

I first contacted Dr. Pelletier via email, writing about my urgent need of dental treatment. I had his first response within a few hours that day, and my first appointment the following week. Since then, he has always answered my emails the very same day and had written me on his own accord, to make sure that I was feeling all right after a difficult procedure. And he has always stayed his very pleasant, kind, and civil self with a great sense of humor, as an extra bonus for those of us who are not fond of dental chairs :-).

My urgent needs were as follows: a bridge over the two implants, which had been inserted at the Harvard Dental School in January and May, 2007, a crown over one of the molars, and either treatment or extraction with the following up implant for another molar. The temp bridge over the implants was installed by the same famed Harvard implantologist who had inserted the implants His 5-6 attempts to install the permanent bridge, between April and June 18, 2008 failed completely and totally. So, I returned the permanent bridge to him and requested a transfer to another dentist. Then, the corporate hierarchy had the run of the day - I was receiving absolutely no dental treatment, my dental health began deteriorating. On July 1, 2008 a top right molar broke, the tooth about which I had complained for over a year, hearing in response that it was OK, in the absence of any x-rays being taken. On August 4, 2008, a temporary crown, installed at HDC June 4, 2008 fell off another tooth. Additionally, the temp bridge over the implants, which had never been totally comfortable, worn off and became totally uncomfortable.

So, this is how I came to Dr. Pelletier -two broken molars on the right, a highly uncomfortable bridge over the implants on the left, all this happening while I was under the care of a famed implantologist, who decided to play a role of the Jack of all trades and was always in such a hurry that I had felt myself as if I were at a conveyor. What a tremendous relief it was to meet Dr. Pelletier - so attentive, so personable, such a good listener, so very pleasant, and, thankfully, so very unlike my previous always in hurry do-not-have-the-time dentist/implantologist from the Harvard Dental School. Dr. Pelletier explained my problems and we discussed all possible solutions. We worked out a plan that took into account my trip to Europe. Before I left in September, I had my temporary crowns installed on both molars and the temporary bridge over the implants reworked and adjusted so it became truly comfortable. I was provided with a travel teeth cementation kit, just in case, and off I went.

Upon my arrival from Europe, Dr. Pelletier installed the two permanent crowns on molars. The most amazing thing about those crowns was that they immediately felt like my own teeth. Then, how could they not feel so, if Dr. Pelletier had spent hours building up the teeth and curving my gums, just so the crowns sit perfectly? Since I had to wait with the installation of the permanent bridge over the implants, Dr. Pelletier made another appointment, to examine and adjust my temporary bridge once again., so that the gums do not get infected

And did I tell you that, whereas the Harvard Dental School specialist determined that one of my broken molars had to be replaced by an implant, Dr. Pelletier saved the tooth and crowned it?

It is a wonderful feeling to have a dentist who is truly devoted to his patients and acts in their best interests. It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Pelletier to those who are now seeking a good dentist. Do not forget to look at his CV and to see examples of his work

    Patient Review 4:

My teeth have been an issue for 20 years of my life. Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Pelletier I feel that I can finally move on.

I came to his office following an implant procedure that I felt was less than optimal: it was on a front tooth and I was dissatisfied with the appearance of the surrounding gum tissue. Dr. Pelletier, over the course of many meetings, carefully crafted temporaries that slowly achieved the look I desired.

Dr. Pelletier is very personable and supportive, and I very much enjoyed the time spent in his office. Typically, dental offices make me nervous, but there I felt very comfortable. Furthermore, he was always available by email -- and very quick to respond. He always kept me up to date, and often followed up to see how I was doing.

Halfway through the procedure, when I had an accident involving my teeth, I felt extremely lucky to have Dr. Pelletier on my side. He was there for me and worked quickly to alleviate the situation.

Overall, the cost of the procedures was not cheap, but the finished result was well beyond anything I could have imagined. When I tell people that I've had extensive work done, they always say "but you have such nice teeth!", to which I respond "well, I know a good dentist!"

I found Dr Pelletier a year ago from these pages. I was very nervous about going to see him after having a poor experience with a different dentist a few years ago, while I was trying to address the same issues.

His advice was always detailed , clear, professional and frank. He clearly keeps up with the very latest research in implant techniques. His estimates of cost and time were precise. HIs attention to detail was more than i have ever experienced with a dentist. At the same time he is courteous, helpful and reassuring. I would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pelletier without hesitation. I have known Dr. Pelletier for approximately two years now, and during that time he has executed a variety of dental work flawlessly - including a crown, an implant, and even two fillings.

I could not be more happy with his work. He carefully worked with me during the entire process - from my orthodontic braces to the end result. I needed to have braces put in to make my prior implant viable and correct the gum line above my central incisor by moving the tooth down.

Although my prior dental office would not confirm the implant specs. Dr. Pelletier worked with the limited info he had and consulted various colleagues to identify the correct one- which ended up being made by a company no longer in business. He researched and tracked down the firm that acquired them, and worked with their reps to obtain the parts needed. He then created beautiful custom crowns.

As a result, I have regained confidenced in my smile. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Pelletier's expertise and attention to detail. He is a perfectionist, who genuinely cares about his patients, and regularly follows up with them to ensure their health & satisfaction. Thank you, Dr. Pelletier!

Dr. Pelletier saved my life and made me look fantastic)

The public has to know how important it is to have a true prosthodontist expert when you need crowns and restorations and implants. All dentist say they can do them but watch out! I almost died from having this incorrectly done. Finally we found Dr. Pelletier, and over 7 months restored my mouth, my smile-perfectly and my health! He is so expert, so rare, caring and funny and a true perfectionist-which in restorative work is essential. I have beautiful teeth and a perfect bite. it was like a face lift because he restored the muscles in my face when he restored my bite . Check out the photos.

A Harvard pediatric neurosurgeon recommended Dr. Pelletier after I had become critically ill from poorly done crowns. The scary part is I did not know! I saw a regular dentist to have a crown on a front tooth replaced. He recommended I do all my teeth. He did this incorrectly. I ended up in the hospital with a blood infection and absess. I saw another regular dentist. He redid the crowns and I almost died of a blood infection from the teeth decaying below the gumline! Another prosodontist said I had to have all my teeth pulled. Dr. Pelletier saved my life and my smile.

Dr. Pelletier redid an upper front crown (by another dentist) which was a poor color match, not very comfortable, and which had created significant gum inflammation. I consulted with two other dentists before selecting him, and I know it was a very challenging job. He achived great results: I consider his crown nearly undetectable even under close examination, the fit is much more comfortable, and the inflammation is gone.

The other reviews are accurate: he is an experienced, talented and highly credentialed prosthodontist who is clearly one of Boston's best. However, he is also a very compassionate individual who went far above and beyond in spending an enormous amount of time and effort to get me the best possible results. He has my highest recommendation and I am truly grateful to him for his help.

Dr. Pelletier is the most talented, meticulous and caring doctor I have ever met. I highly recommend him. In fact, I went on a few consultations before starting my procedure with top dentists in the field and I ended up choosing Dr. Pelletier. I am glad I did, I am so happy with the results. I had a smile make over and I absolutely love it!!

I am claustrophobic and so going to the dentist has always been an issue for me. But Dr. Pelletier made an excruciating experience almost pleasant. He is gentle and caring. He made me feel very comfortable. He always took the time to explain the process to me; I never felt rushed. He was accessible by e mail, which was wonderful.

I have the highest regard for Dr. Pelletier and I will be forever thankful for the wonderful smile he gave me.

I have just completed eight months of prosthodontia with Dr. Lionel Pelletier. As complicated and difficult as this work can be (both physically and emotionally), Dr. Pelletier's expertise was so evident throughout the process that I never felt any pain or fear at all. He was consistently attentive, generous with his time, and always very kind. His office staff and assistants are observant and friendly. Most important, he is an astonishingly gifted clinician. My teeth look and feel wonderful - I recommend him without reservation.

Please read the following letter I wrote to Dr. Pelletier thanking him for six months of extensive dental work.

I am writing to you to express my appreciation for my recent dental treatment. You treated me with respect and courtesy and I am very grateful to you and your staff for the care that you gave me during my many visits to the Brookline Dental Center since February. The entire BDC staff made me feel relaxed and helped me through my fear and trepidation of dentists. My dental anxieties, based on numerous unpleasant experiences at a young age, paralyzed me. However, it was clear to me after my initial visit with you, that I came to the right place. I was impressed with your knowledge, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Everyone in your office - the receptionist, the dental hygienists, the dental assistants all were extremely kind, considerate, and efficient. Finally, I'd like to compliment you on your BDC wesite. Even before I took my first trip to Brookline I had access to valuable information via the click of the mouse. In closing, after spending so many years without an attractive smile, it is indeed a pleasure to use those facial muscles again.

Thank you for making this experience as pleasant as possible.

At the age of 18 I had all my upper teeth removed. It changed my like completely for the negative. Through the years I had more dentures made than you can imagine, always hoping for a miracle. I was never happy and it caused me to lack self-esteem. At the age of 57, I found Dr. Pelletier. He did a careful evaluation of my teeth and gums and came up with some plans of action. As a result, I spent about 10 months at his office every week. He did work on my gums, made new dentures, repair bottom teeth, added a bridge and a partial (that clips on and NEVER moves). I also had four veneers done. We looked at implants that would require a surgeon because my gums were so poor. He didn't just send me, he went with me. I had two root canals by another dentist and he called while I was there to make sure I was okay. He is so gentle, kind and caring and patient. He actually made the visits enjoyable. Bottom line is I went on a cruise and actually had pictures taken I usually hide from the camera). I couldn't believe my smile. My teeth looked like they were my own. I will never leave him and I am forever grateful.

Dr. Pelletier is the best dentist and most gentle and caring dentist I have ever seen. He is expert, and with his knowledge and experience he is a world above any other dentists. He is not only correctly diagnosed the current problems I was having but also how the previous dentist had done major mistakes that had subtley affected my speech.( I hope these are subtle) He then took a moment to talk about how hard it must have been to go through all that. He said he would talk to his collegues over the weekend and come up with a plan on Monday. He is caring, takes the time and has the expertise and is just great. I feel lucky to have found him. I cannot urge people enough to be careful and research and interview dentists. I wish I had found Dr. Pelletier earlier but I am glad I have found him now.

I am extremely happy and pleased with the work Dr. Pelletier has provided for me. Five years prior, due to an accident, I had to have my two front teeth replaced with crowns. I was never very happy with the appearance and over time my gums began to turn gray around the crowns. As a new Boston resident, I was finally (emotionally) ready to do the replacement procedure. I interviewed severally (5 total) dentist in the area. Dr. Pelletier provided the best analysis of what needed to be done and I also felt he also had a sincere interest in doing a good job. Throughout the procedure he ensured my temporary crowns looked good and never rushed any of our appointments. Also the staff is wonderful and very friendly. After just one month my gums returned to a healthy state. Best of all I love the new crowns!! My friends and family say my teeth look very natural. Dr. Pelletier is a perfectionist and his work will give you something to smile about!

Dr. Pelletier is the best there is! He is a highly skilled and a professional prosthodondist. I came to his office after years of neglect with a dentist who should have but didn't advise me of my need for a periodontist. Dr. Pelletier, together with a periodontist (Dr. Crohin) in the same office developed a step wise plan for first dealing with my gums, then an upper crown and finally, 4 bottom implants. They thoroughly discussed a range of options with me. They were very careful in determining if I had the bond density necessary to support the implants. The results are outstanding. Dr. Pelletier demonstrated his excellence many times during the long course of treatment. He took great care to ensure that the porcelain caps fit perfectly and would not compromise the implants. He always checked with me by phone or email to ensure that I was ok after a procedure. He even called me in for a special appointment when he decided that I needed more protection on the implants before the final steps.

I grew up hating to go to the dentist. Now, I can honestly say that he changed my view completely. The office is attractive and convenient. The cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Pelletier without any reservations.

Here's the stuff he did for me: (1) replaced an old filling in one of my front teeth; (2) found an underlying problem which had produced pain and an odd feeling around one tooth for more than eight years and referred me to an endodontist for remediation of that problem; (3) watched over and worked with a bridge made by another dentist to try to make it work and be comfortable for me, and when the bridge failed (i.e., it loosened on its own, and then Dr. Pelletier easily removed it), he thoroughtly presented to and discussed with me the options or choices I had to replace the failed bridge. The results of all of the work I have had were excellent. Here's the smaller stuff that make this a great place to go for dental work: (1) all of the people in this practice are great, and the dentists in this practice who cover for Dr. Pelletier are like him--very nice-the best---dentists; (2) parking is on the street, but very easy; ( 3) the office space is beautiful and comfortable; and (4) he works on Saturdays and scheduling convenient appointments is possible.
