This before photo shows a lower left tooth with an old crown (and a white filling under the crown, near the gumline). The gum tissue is thin and has receded; Also note how the muscle attachment from the lip pulls on the area.

This photo was taken after gum graft surgery by Dr. Amsalem and after a new crown was placed on the tooth. Note the thick band of gum tissue that is now present under the crown. Also note that the lip muscle is no longer pulling on this area.
