If only I could have seen Dr. Girschek as a child, I would have had many years without stress and anxiety. As a product of the 50's, I was, as were many others, subjected to the dreaded rath of the school dentist.

I have been treated by Dr. Girschek for over 10 years, and I will never go any other dentist but Dr. G, ever! He is the best dentist I have ever had. He has completed many procedure for me, including multiple bridges, caps, cavities and related procedures. He is by far, the most pleasant ,professional and patient dentist I've known (I've had dental work for over 40 years and along the way, I've had some awful experiences).

I will admit it, although I'm a big guy, who used to play football, I'm a big, big baby in the dentist chair. Dr. Girscheck has always been exceedingly patient with me, allowing me to reach my own comfort level before beginning any procedure. He has always taken time to listen to my questions and concerns, explain each procedure carefully and clearly, allow me to take breaks during long procedures (he never rushes you), and presents the pros and cons of every option so you can make an educated choice about procedures.

Dr. G. possesses a charming and lighthearted personality, a warm smile and a genuine concern about you as a person, and not just as a patient. This attitude extends to his front desk, where Karen and all the staff is always polite, pleasant and helpful.

About Hygienist: Jenny is wonderful...she is so competent, smart and funny, as is Bernesh, who always greets you with a warm smile and is very gentle with her procedures. They are both very professional and helpful, also both find ways to help you through any discomfort or nervousness you're feeling. There is no better staff anywhere. I'm a very busy professional and I would not take time to write any of this unless it was absolutely true.

I just wanted to take a minute and compliment your entire team at the Waltham office. My entire experience, which began in July and ended in October, was flawless,professional, and an overall enjoyable experience.

I was also seen by Janet, one of your hygenists for the kind of cleaning I should have been recieving all along. Not only is she excellent, she is quite funny and keeps you laughing for hte entire half hour you are with her. I never thought I would say this, but I am looking forward to my next cleaning in December.

I would like to compliment your front desk. Not only are they all friendly, but there is clearly synergy at the desk that patients can feel when they walk in. I have never once been kept waiting and, due to an accident on the highway, I was once late and was accomodated. I have to specifically make mention of Meagan. It does not matter if she is showing off her new whitened teeth or sporting braces, her smile and personality are a great first impression to your office.

What can I say? Dr. Girschek and his assistant Jen. Well, they gave me back my smile 10 years ago, with a barrage of root canals, crowns and bridges. I am delighted to enter this review. I have spent way too many hours in the dental chair throughout my years!! I am in the medical arena also, so I can be a bit persnickity when evaluating others. I was referred to Dr. G. from one of my former students! The best referral I have ever had! The office is inviting and time management responsible. I have never waited more than a few minutes for my appts. It pleases me that my time is mutually respected.

I have had crowns, root canals, bridges, abscess surgery, and cleaning accomplished at the Waltham office. All done with complete confidence and individuality. Dr. Girschek and the whole team at Gentle Dental in Waltham are absolutely fabulous! With advancing years my front teeth had become so splayed and discolored that I was very uncomfortable with my smile. My former dentist suggested that I have all my front upper teeth extracted, and then have either implants or dentures. The estimated cost was way beyond my resources. Then I found Dr. Girschek, and he changed everything! He was able to realign my teeth and bond them so that they are now straighter, stronger, and whiter - AND at a cost that I could handle! Dr. Girschek is both a dedicated doctor and an artist, and the entire staff is warm, caring and professional. My personal experience with the Waltham Gentle Dental Center has been so positive that I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Girschek; Crowned all of my teeth which included two bridges; an upper and a lower. When you enter the office the front desk greets you and they know who you are and what you are there for. The Hygienist was excellent during the whole long experience; side by side with the doctor so an excellent chair-side manner by both hygienist and Doctor. Also, the same hygienist was there for all of the visits. They are a great team! I am a customer who has always needed gas for fillings; if I used gas for the procedure which was done on me, it would have hindered the arm movements of Dr. Girschek. He told me that if the pain was to much he would give me gas. He was extremely attentive to asking me again and again if indeed I was all right. I went through each of my very long visits with just lots of novacaine and a calming valium before I arrived at the office. Let's face it there was going to be pain unless I was knocked out, but for me to have tolerated this procedure with no gas; I would have thought it impossible!! Dr. Girschek during each visit had no other patients except me; which was very comforting. I have no dental insurance so I paid out of pocket for the whole procedure. The cost was approximately $25,000.
