Dr. Girschek is nice, honest and gentle. He does a great job.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out at his office, and my one complaint was that they had me pay for it immediately after the procedure. I was all woozy and drugged up on painkillers and didn't even remember paying; I found the copy of the signed receipt later in my purse. I would have been happier to pay ahead of time for that type of procedure, when I at least knew what was going on.

The front desk staff is cordial. Not extraordinarily special, but friendly.

About Hygienist: Janet is usually my hygienist. She is pretty thorough, but she is rough, and usually makes my gums bleed. She also has a very strong personality--which I can find to be annoying. Some of the other hygienists are just as thorough and much gentler. I am looking for a new dentist office because I can't take the pain from her any more.

I went to see him after several horror stories from other Dentists.

At that time, he did crowns, fillings, all sorts of things that I desperately needed. He is also what counts 2nd to his bedside manner ( which is unmatched) - the best dentist you will come across.

About Hygienist: They are all fabulous - I liked Tanya and A woman who was in dental school - who managed to give me a deep under the gum cleaning without novocaine, and I have NO pain tolerance. She was fabulous and gentle too, and thorough. They are all great.

If you hate the dentist - give these guys a chance. You won't be sorry.

I have been treated by Dr. Girschek for over 10 years, and I will never go any other dentist but Dr. G, ever! He is the best dentist I have ever had. He has completed many procedure for me, including multiple bridges, caps, cavities and related procedures. I will admit it, although I'm a big guy, who used to play football, I'm a big, big baby in the dentist chair. With advancing years my front teeth had become so splayed and discolored that I was very uncomfortable with my smile. My former dentist suggested that I have all my front upper teeth extracted, and then have either implants or dentures. The estimated cost was way beyond my resources. Then I found Dr. Girschek, and he changed everything! He was able to realign my teeth and bond them so that they are now straighter, stronger, and whiter - AND at a cost that I could handle! Dr. Girschek; Crowned all of my teeth which included two bridges; an upper and a lower. When you enter the office the front desk greets you and they know who you are and what you are there for. The Hygienist was excellent during the whole long experience; side by side with the doctor so an excellent chair-side manner by both hygienist and Doctor. Also, the same hygienist was there for all of the visits. They are a great team! I am a customer who has always needed gas for fillings; if I used gas for the procedure which was done on me, it would have hindered the arm movements of Dr. Girschek. He told me that if the pain was to much he would give me gas. He was extremely attentive to asking me again and again if indeed I was all right. I went through each of my very long visits with just lots of novacaine and a calming valium before I arrived at the office. Let's face it there was going to be pain unless I was knocked out, but for me to have tolerated this procedure with no gas; I would have thought it impossible!! Dr. Girschek during each visit had no other patients except me; which was very comforting. I have no dental insurance so I paid out of pocket for the whole procedure. The cost was approximately $25,000.

I believe I hold the record for the largest file in Dr. G's office. I have had a "problem" mouth since childhood and RELY on my mouth/teeth structure as a local actress and activities director. Several years ago I was sitting in a dentist chair with a surgeon ready to pull my teeth for dentures. Literally at the last minute, he referred me to Dr. G. for another opinion. It was the best thing I have ever done. Dr. G researched MY situation and re-diagnosed the damage as the result of excessive soda etc. Since then Dr. G. constructed a permanent bridge across my upper register and it is magnificent! He has done many more procedures for me, root canals, fillings, you name it with precision,skill, expertise and very little pain. He, his assistant, Jen and his entire staff have gone above and beyond to care for me no matter how large or small the dilemma. He and his personnel have explained procedures, payments -all aspects of my continual treatment in layman's terms and have always been fair and honest. I trust them implicitly. The treatment required extractions, root canals, jackets, a partial plate and a truely impressive bridge running almost the entire width of my upper jaw. I have had poor exeriences with dentists since I was a child. Over the past ten years I probably went through five dentists not to mention endodontists. They have made all kinds of mistakes. We live in Boston and during the winter months we live in Florida. When I needed a new crown in Sarasota, Fla. I went to Gentle Dental and had a great experience with a retired dentist who worked there part time. He was wonderful and a perfectionist.
